TriMega Warns Dealers about Dangers of Selling New-Builds in Wake of Canon Litigation

TriMega Purchasing Association, a nonprofit buying group serving about 485 independent office product dealers and technology retailers in the United States, recently warned its members about the dangers of carrying new-build compatible toner cartridges for HP and Canon laser devices following the patent-infringement complaints that Canon filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and in federal district court this February (see “Canon Causes Another Cataclysm: OEM Sues Numerous Aftermarket Firms for Patent Infringement”).
